SUMMARY:All About Hops
DESCRIPTION:By Al Bullard \nIn the 19th century\, hops were an important cash crop for Meredith’s farmers and almost 90% of the hop crop in the United States was produced in New York State.  In this program\, Al Bullard will tell us the history of the hops industry in this area.  Along with his depth of knowledge\, he will have hops-related tools for display and a slideshow he has developed over the years. Bullard is a local expert on the history of hops and the author of the book\, The Hop Farmer’s Year: The Seasons\, Tools and Methods of Hop Growers in New York State’s Golden Age of Hops published by Square Circle Press in 2015. \n  \nPrint
