We strongly encourage you to donate items such as photos, diaries, journals, documents, memorabilia, small tools, household items, and other artifacts to our collection; however, items contributed must be related to the town of Meredith. Storage space for large objects is limited.
You can donate photographs and documents and still keep them, if you prefer. We will gladly accept digitized copies and we will even do the digitization for you. Just contact us for an appointment. If you would like to donate an item or items, please contact us. Your item, if approved for our collections, is fully tax-deductible and we will provide you with a receipt. You are responsible for having the item appraised if a valuation is to be placed on it.
Our Collections Committee reviews all submissions. An item may not be accepted if it isn’t relevant to Meredith, if it duplicates something we already have, or if we don’t have space to store it.
If the item you donate is used in an exhibit or cited as a reference in printed material, you will be given credit for the donation.
