Over the years some Meredith residents wrote about things they did or observed, which tell us about facets of Meredith history which would otherwise have been forgotten. You will hear about growing cauliflower, cutting ice on Spring Lake, first getting electricity, working as a waitress at the Meredith Inn, two of our forgotten cemeteries, a 4-H project and getting to school in the winter and spring in the 1940s. These tidbits of Meredith history will be read by members of our society, including Linda Riddell, Nancy Simons, Gabrielle Pierce, Cynthia and Frank Waterman, and Kathy Decker’
